Set in a dimension of high adventure, deep cosmic mystery and extreme personal danger, Big Science often feels like an Pretend Game, simultaneously played semi-consciously by everyone – a cultural method for describing, encountering and surviving a rapidly evolving (and thankfully out-of-control) Present
Players or ‘Researchers’ of Big Science often treat it as an Open Art Platform, Game Engine or Scientific Model – ie. a ‘Dark Virtual ARG‘
